Addressed to the “chers et bien aimés les officiers de la justice, mairie, échevins et principaux habitants de nostre ville d’Etampes” (dear justice, townhall, and échevins officers and main inhabitants of our town of Étampes), Charles IX reminds the town had promised to deliver food to his army before the 19th of October.
